Corsairs Hockey began in the summer of 2016 as a youth hockey club founded by coaches and friends, Buddy Fugman and Evan Christenson. Using a local YMCA program in a non-traditional hockey area, they created the "Corsairs" identity—complete with logos honoring local WWII veterans. The program focused on developing both hockey skills and strong character, emphasizing values like integrity, responsibility, and teamwork.

After multiple years of helping to create a growing and successful program, Coach Evan moved on to pursue a law career. Shortly after the YMCA discontinued support of the growing program. The official program ended—but the Corsairs spirit lives on.

 

Today, Head Coach Buddy continues the mission through top notch hockey equipment, sticks and pro shop services, athletic training/coaching, as well as custom athletic clothing and jerseys at Corsairs Hockey apparel.
